LB Chapter 1.1

Lovable Beauty Chapter 1

“Get up, Lanyin. You said that we’d go out to see the sunrise today because it’s rare that we come to Mountain Hua. If you don’t get up now, we don’t know when we’ll get the opportunity ever again.”

Lanyin suddenly furrowed her brows and pouted. She’d been sleeping soundly and suddenly there was this annoying but familiar noisy person by her ear. Her slightly full lips pouted, wrapped her blanket around her and rolled over but still, she couldn’t escape the noisy clamour. The noise persisted for nearly twenty minutes before it disappeared.

Finally, it was all nice and quiet and Lanyin unconsciously curled her lip corners. She poked her head out of the blanket again and continued to contentedly sleep.

Beyond the window, Sangzhi and Yingge sent away the second miss, closed the door to block the wind and went back to the outer room …

Yingge walked to the door of the inner room, lifted up the curtain and saw that the muslin was still calm and steady. She smiled with her mouth closed, lifted up the curtain and walked towards the side of couch. “The miss won’t wake up for a while now, should we go sleep for a bit?” She asked Yingge.

The Xie family had three families with six young girls, and amongst them, their fifth miss was the most delicate. She’d couldn’t bear being even a little bit tired. Just like this time when she had to go to Prince-Uncle Xian’s wedding, everyone else stopped at Huayin county to rest but this miss begged madam to see Mountain Hua to enjoy the sights. But it was a rocky trip to Dianyue Temple and stubbornly, the miss refused to go any more so the madam decided to stay here for two nights and to continue the next day.

Sangzhi’s hand held a small mirror as she looked at herself, “You can nap for a bit. I won’t sleep just in case I have to groom myself again. Look, the wind on this side is so strong that I only went out to send off the second miss for a while, and my hair’s already a mess.”

As she spoke, she carefully rearranged her hair again.

The way that she approached things was meticulous, just like how she would dress and groom herself. If her dress had even a crease, she’d hate it. Yingge thought of how Sangzhi nagged the miss about these trivial things, secretly laughed and sat on the couch for a bit. In the end, she just wasn’t as lively as Ssangzhi so she yawned and napped for a bit.

Sangzhi really was vigorous, after finishing grooming her hair, she lightly wiped the table too.

The day started to get brighter and Yingge rubbed her eyes as she woke up. There she saw Sangzhi had already started bringing in hot water, hot water that still had steam rising above it.

“You brought it in?” Yingge felt a bit embarrassed and hurried to help.

Sangzhi shook her head, “Just then, it was a small nun who brought it in. It’s okay, you can tell the miss to get up now, she hates when I wake her up.” Sangzhi couldn’t understand, she and Yingge would both wake the miss up but for some reason, she just liked Yingge waking her up?

Yingge knew the reason why. It was because she would cajole the miss to wake up, whereas Sangzhi would just call the miss non stop, “Miss wake up”. It’d be strange if the miss didn’t hate it. It was a pity becaue she taught Sangzhi many times but she still didn’t understand. Laughingly, Yingge quickly wiped her face, put on some sweet paste and went inside to wake the miss up.

Within the plain muslin, Xie Lanyin was still sleeping sweetly with her black hair rustled and picturesque black brows. Her white and soft skin looked as if it had been brushed with the finest blush, sweet and delicate like a peony. Her red lips were full and looked as sweet as freshly washed cherries.

Serving this fairy like master made anything bearable for Yingge as she lifted up the muslin. She bent over and lightly cajoled, “Miss, I heard the small nun say that Mount Hua’s water can moisten the skin and beautify the face. Last night, we especially asked them to heat up some water for our miss so miss, get up and try it. Once the water cools, it’ll lose its effectiveness.”

Xie Lanyin finally moved a bit, rubbed against her blanket and tiredly turned over. Her eyes were sleepy as she asked, “Really?”

Her voice was soft and gentle and unbelievably pleasing to the ear. Her soft voice made it hard for people to bear even thinking about lying to her.

Yingge was speaking the truth though so she laughed as she nodded her head. She stretched her hand towards the beauty on the bed, “When have I ever lied to miss?”
